Who cares?
RR, the engineering firm, is still British owned and operated. BAE Systems is as well.
The problem with the UK's defense exports is that, for political reasons, so much of their stuff is "jointly" built with other nations concealing the true contribution to whatever the program is (the F-35, Eurofighter, etc.).
ARM itself, which along with RR is the only other "true" British comany that is a leader in it's field, whose architecture dominates the smartphone market by a wide margin, doesn't actually make anything. It licenses their designs to people like Samsung, Nvidia, Apple, TI, etc.Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. The ARM-designed cores are seldom changed. Only Qualcomm really does it these days.
TI and Samsung use them intact. They just package other chips with it.
