Also, how drunk were you when you wrote that thread title, Oerdin?
    About the normal amount.

So would you prefer if schools could violate people's constitutional rights without having to fear punishment?

There's a constitutional right to be a lesbian at a school prom? Not that I think the discrimination should have occurred, but where is that in the constitution?

The constitutional right is found in the equal protection clause.

I edited it to Deus Vult while Dues le vult is vulgar French.

Anyway, Oerdin, you didn't answer my questions about the Reserves from the other thread.
I also lost count how many times Oerdin has used the word "******" in past posts.

Enlisted? MOS? Did you go to school or work when you were not deployed? How did you find the drill and how it meshed with your regular life? And any thoughts on what officers or SNCO's do for drill? I mean it's not like a corporal who just shows up and does what he's told. I'm assuming an Lt. has to organize the training? Also, any thoughts on the distance for training? If I would have to go all the way to Buffalo for drill for my preferred MOS (for Marine Reserve officers you pre-select the MOS based on availability within a certain radius from your home of record), is that retarded or do guys go that far for drill sometimes?

Any thoughts on preparedness of reservists and reserve units for deployments or combat situations as compared to AD? Any difficulty in working with AD units due to not having been IN Army culture except 38 days of the year?
Enlisted 37F. I joined to help pay for college and they did that though honestly they pulled me out of school so much it really set me back in terms of graduation date. Honestly, the officers usually do their own thing or dictate a big picture goal and it is the NCOs who actually work out all the details. The officers are really just for show. If you're thinking about becoming a butter bar then realize you're pretty much going to have little real authority and that your senior NCOs will handle most things including telling you what to do so you don't end up looking bad.

Honestly preparedness was very high in my unit but if you think you're going to do the standard 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks at the end of the year then you're sadly mistaken. There is always stuff which comes up ("We need 8 people to fly to Fort Bragg to help with a demobilization", there's a joint training mission in [any where from Spain to Sri Lanka] which will last two months") plus the mobilization rate is quite high so expect to spend at least one year out of four on active duty. On the other three years you're not on active duty you'll probably spend some where between 2-3 months a year all added up working for the reserves. That's just the reality of how it works because there are always classes you have to take if you want to get promoted (which always seem to take 2 weeks) and stuff popping up which you need to get done when you move up the ranks.

There is a lot of jurisprudence on the topic of race, there is not as much yet about sexuality.
