    What's so hard to understand about it? It's like a harmony thing... we're all basically the same despite all our differences. We have the same sort of things to deal with and the same things make us laugh or cry.

          From what I've read that's an oft misunderstood quote. Sartre's intent with that oh-so famous line was to point out that our reliance on the opinions of others to validate our feelings about ourselves etc. creates a hellish existence.

              poll doesn't have the right answer, AS does.

              The song is about sympathy and empathy rather than identical or even similar. Troubles make us feel bad and to that we can all atest to.
