  • The Dyson Fan

Explain to me why it's better and why I care about buffeting as it applies to air circulation within my house.

Still, I think people sound smarter if they speak wit an English or Australian accent... or whatever accent that Gekko has in those commercials.

You don't have to clean the fan blades and it's quieter.

I prefer the noise of the fan, however.

If you have small kids, maybe, but otherwise the added expense isn't really worth it.

The only advantage I see is preventing kids from sticking their hands or tongues into the whirling blades.

I see those blades as an educational advantage.

Until you get the product theres no way of knowing. The dyson vacuums were awesome, they would literally suck the fibres out of my carpet they were so powerful.

The dyson airblade hand dryers are a revolution, that is to say they actually work. you can leave the bathroom with your hands dry. amazing.

If dyson can do that then maybe this is the next best thing since sliced bread. I would welcome a quiet, effective fan.

I like Dyson... one of the few engineers today with a public face. I'd buy his
products if they were available here, unfortunately, they're not.

Dyson vacuums are overpriced and not that good. Miele and Sabo are much better and competitively priced.

I cant find an objective free review site, and have no desire to pay for the 'which' site, so I cannot attest to the quality of the other brands. If we are happy to argue about subjective ratings then the original Dyson I had blew the cheap meile I had out of the water.

However I can say that all 3 brands are around the same price. Most models for all manufacturers come in at around £200, with meile having a 'cheap' £140 base model to dysons base £160 model.
