Let's be clear, I'm not saying KH knew of this or is guilty, because he is an underling. But if he wrote the code that was used to execute the transaction then he is just as guilty. I see no reason why you would ever sell that many shares unless you being guilty KNEW THE RIG WAS VULNERABLE.

$225M is pathetically small to GS.

I actually don't know where the losses at Lehman were concentrated.A guess would be that they were long credit or housing debt, but does anybody here know?

Tons of Lehman's investments were tied up with MBS, IIRC. Obviously CDSes were a big deal also.

But I'm no financial guy.

Similar got used everywhere. CDS notional outstandings dropped by like a factor of 3. A lot of that was simple novation, though.
