My favorite thing about Apex Bus (one of the Chinatown buses) is that its stop in Baltimore is literally a grassy hill next to some random gas station. I guess there's no Chinatown in Charm City?
I used to take the Apex all the time! I know exactly what you're talking about, haha.

We're mostly interested in typical touristy attractions, but aren't big on museums. We probably won't have more than 2 weeks, so I'll take a look at leaving out Boston. I've chosen autumn because it won't be too hot and because the trees are fire-engine red, or at least that's what they want me to believe. They are golden in Russia.

Some are red. Some are gold. Some are brown. It depends.
DC is actually very pretty in the spring when all the cherry blossoms and other trees are in bloom.

A Russian who doesn't drink? Are you ostracized from mainstream society?
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
