Good choice. That's where I went when they still had an offce here.

Goood luck to ya, it should all be fine and easy to get through. Mine went great and I have near perfect vision now (Even though I went for one of the less expensive companies- the £1200 high street branch with the wankhole eye doctor who left me waiting for an hour while he had his lunch was far more reassuring than the £2500 place that shared offices - and who knows what else, eh, EH - with a penis and breast enlargement firm). The best testament is that the regularity with which my passport photo is greeted with hysterical laughter and finger-pointing has dropped by nearly half!

I just find it somewhat disconcerting when a LASIK eye surgeon wears glasses.

No glasses or contacts for the first time in literally 50 years for me. Incredible. You're gonna love it, man.

My surgery was under "twilight" sedation and took minutes. Literally the only pain I had was from the needle-stick on the back of my hand (for the saline bag). I had great confidence in my doctor, and yeah, I went high end.

Sounds like you got the right guy.

Wishing you a calm, uneventful surgery with normal results...

Success so far-- Vision is already much better and I will find out at my assessment this morning whether they hit 20/20 or better--

The surgery wasn't too bad I guess but I was happy they gace me an Atavan to take the edge off. Even though they explained it all, its still a little disconcerting when the suction ring goes around an eye and it blacks out

I declined the valium or whatever it was when offered and was certainly edgey.

After I got it done I was far sighted for a while and became 20/20 as it healed.

I had no objection to a little chemical help in relaxing.

I am 20/20 for distance right now at one day post-op but my near/reading vision is only ok. They say that both will sharpen up as I heal

Congrats, it sounds like it worked.
