      This is why I have a rice cooker. You can get a cheap one for like $20 and never burn rice again.

          I manage perfectly fine with a saucepan without burning my rice...

            Uhmn, I've cooked rice once or twice every week for the last 30+ years and probably burned them once every second year, so I have no intention to waste twenty bucks on some unnessecary thingy

            @PH yeah, there are several recipies for cooking rice and yours sound like it involves lots of water - kinda swedish method. I prefer low water since it rarely turns it into a messy lump.

            1 dl rice, 1,5 dl water. Pour rice in boiling water and turn down to lowest - boil for 10 min, take of heat and rest for ten more.
