There is certainly some uniformity in practice even though the rules leave a lot of leeway. You might wish for more uniformity, but to whose standard? I'd rather not let Blatter and his cronies micromanage more than they already are.

FWIW, Serb is right about Kaka. He knew he had the ref's eyes on him and he plants his elbow in Keita's chest. Thing is, he'll go to the knockout round without a card hanging over him, so even though he can't play the mostly meaningless (for Braz) match v Portugal things probably worked out for the best for him.
Keita is still cheating scum, and Ivory Coast is actually hurt by Kaka's sending off, since they are dependent on Brazil beating Portugal. If Portugal takes just one point it's bye-bye CdI. Their chances might have been only theoretical anyway, but still.

CDI needs a miracle even if Portugal looses to BRA.
But I believe in Brasil. Surely Kaka's red was bad for CDI in the long term and good for Kaka in the long term. What is good about Brasil is that they can have three national teams of aprox. the same str. easily. They have a huge bench. BRA was never a team of one star. So I still believe they will win 3 matches in their group even without their current top star (Kaka didn't impress me so much on this WC, as well as Messi and to some extend Cristiano "I wash my balls with Clear Vite Abe" Ronaldo).Last edited by Serb; June 23, 2010, 21:06.

iam not sure what the rest of your point is, but it sounds like you try to say that he did it on purpose to get his yellow card away. but then he wouldnt protest so much and his team mates wouldnt protest so much risking a yellow card themselfs.
also i have already posted i link to a replay of the incident serb, its all over the internet i dont know how you can miss it.

The protesting you mention might easily have been over Keita's acting performance and not Kaka's offence in principle.

Serb, I'll stop calling you a liar when you produce some ****ing evidence. Not this evidence you claim to have seen but which can't be seen by anyone else."I hope I get to punch you in the face one day" - MRT144, Imran Siddiqui
