Happy Gay Pride!

Stayed a couple nights at a friend's house in Davenport, Iowa for their local gay pride festival. Last night (Saturday) a friend and I saw the Afrodisiacs and the official Village People perform in Davenport.

At one point while the Afrodisiacs performed, my friend and I went up on the stage with several other people from the audience and danced.

Today we have our outdoor festival.

by the way, who are the Afrodisiacs and why has no one else thought of that very obvious name for a Soul or Disco group? Or at least someone who would become famous, have major label-backing, etc. instead of this apparently unknown group. Like you'd think Berry Gordy would be like 'duh! Afrodisiacs!'

that's weird especially since villagepeople.com does not exist and would seem a better domain name.

Interesting to see that those guys have names. I mean obviously they have names but it seems weird not referring to them as the construction worker, the cop, the indian, the sailor, etc.
