Admittedly my experience of Texas is rather limited:

Houston = ****hole
San Antonio = kinda OK - wouldn't want to live there
El Paso = ****hole

A friend of mine regularly visited Texas for long periods of time with his oil exploration company and pretty much said the whole state was a basket case full of rednecks.

My advice to our champagne socialist friend (who incidentally seems to have no problem accepting money from a corrupt right-wing politician!), is that you're going to hate it over there...

To me, El Paso isn't as nice as San Antonio. That doesn't mean someone might not agree.

I think that Hauldren was speaking about Italy. Actually Switzerland is one of the most well off country in Europe. Italy, as he said showing a noticeable talent to remark the obvious by making such useless comment, is one of the worst managed country in Europe. The only reason for which immigrants come in Italy is just because the weak immigration laws, give easy access to the European Union at people coming from Africa and Asia.
It's so sad to see one of the most beautiful country in the world is going to the demise.

No, immigrants are really the least of our problem; I have been unclear, sorry :-). The blame is on our corrupted politicians, organized crime and the lack of will of the Italians to fight for making things better. Yeah, it's a shame. Especially in the German side of Switzerland... In two years I have been able to become friend with just two Swiss people. The Swiss stays with the Swiss. End of the discussion.
Just consider that for finding a job in there you have to learn the Swiss-German language; the absurd thing is that the official national language is High German (at school they learn German, while their dialect -because IS a dialect, no matter what they say- is spoken only on the streets). They are xenophobe even towards German people, which are culturally similar to them (although I consider the Germans ways better under any point of view).
The fellow who dispatched the propaganda you posted has been kicked out from his party, but still he had many followers.
Swiss xenophobia is hidden behind a kind smile; they might treat you very politely, but you are and will always be a unwelcomed stranger in their land.
