  • It's time to ask the tough questions about Israel

I'm not Arabic, I'm not Jewish...I don't generally care what the hell goes on in that ****hole part of the world.

But there is one very important thing: What will happen to Intel's R&D lab in Israel? There's a bunch of brilliant people there that gave us the Core architecture and freed us from the tyranny of Netburst/Pentium 4.

Can the US airlift them out before they get killed? What are our options here?

I'm also told IBM has some smart cookies in Haifa doing R&D: http://www.research.ibm.com/haifa/

    This could be a disaster.

I think they're actually pretty happy where they are.

Just as worryingly, who will provide competition for Lebanon in Hummus production en masse?

Haifa's not that large. Perhaps we could construct an exact replica out in the Nevada desert, drop some gas on the city overnight to knock them all out and relocate them to Nevada? Keep them safe.

OMFG I forgot the founders of ICQ are in Israel.

Are they secret? Are they safe?

I read about some Haredi jews making a big stink about Intel workers working on Sabbath and they lit a car on fire in protest which made me shoot soda out of my nose as I recall.

(the protest was on a saturday)

Jews gave us the core architecture. Big deal. Arabs gave us numbers. FIND A NEW ARGUMENT.

Fact: Core architecture computers numbers faster than your average Arab. Arabs don't even need to count anymore anyway, they've got those red countdown clocks on their belts to do it for them.

I'm not sure why you insist on misdirection. While you are correct in assuming that all Arabs are terrorists you completely fail to explain why Christians cannot build on the Jews' discovery of the Core architecture, just as the Romans built on the Muslims' invention of the number.

I thought it was assumed Christianity could build on the work of the Jews.

Isn't that the whole purpose of Christianity?

What a sleight of hand. You should play poker... :amad:

Jews invented the Core architecture, and now Christians can build off it, so we don't need to worry about Arabs detonating the original Jew architects. Which was your original contention. So no, you never assumed it. Asher 0 Wiglaf 1 here.

A point of order is in order. The purpose of Christianity is to provide the word of God to people who believe in the Resserection and who want to follow a life of worship without being forced to obey some draconian dietary restrictions or Animal House-style ritual desecrations of the penis.
