            Why would a restaurant

a)offer a hamburger on their lunch menu AND
            b) offer the same hamburger in the evening on the room service menu if you are in the attached hotel

but yet refuse to serve said hamburger in their restaurant in the evening?

Note this really happened. I went in and told the waiter " no need for a menu-- I'll have the chowder and the steakburger"-- he told me he couldn't serve me the burger. Since the burger is why I went in there, I left and went next door and had Chinese food

This may come as a surprise to you, but any Chinese place next door to a hotel restaurant will probably give you diarrhea.

Doubt it-- voted best Chinese food in the city every year since 1999 and I have eaten in the Chinese place about 3 dozen times in the last two years without an issue

Yeah, but you actually don't know what you'll get from the hamburger
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Apparently there was an issue this time, since you only ate there out of spite. Personally, I could never eat dumplings drenched in bitterness but I guess you're too good for soy sauce.

N.B.: It's not Chines food, it's Chinese food. Anyone claiming to have the best Chines food anywhere is probably right, but what they aren't telling you is that one missing letter is the difference between a good meal and explosive diarrhea.

                      Are you guys freaking anti-restaurant?

The restaurant attached to my hotel does the room service and I have had that freaking burger a couple dozen times as well either at lunch or from room service. Its just tonight my flight was later so I had checked out of the hotel already and went to their dining room.

The question is why they will not serve the burger in the dining room??

No, the question is whether the Chinese place served you a hamburger. They didn't so why the double standard?

I was actually torn-- I was standing between the two places trying to decide where to go. I decided to go to the steak joint only because of my plan to get the burger. My decision to switch back was completely rational

                            Its never on their menu.

If the steak joint never had it on their menu I would not ask the question. If it was only on their lunch menu -- no issue .

But the burger was available . .. If I had still been in my hotel room they would have cooked and delivered the burger, no problem But if I walk into their dining room, its not available ???

Your red herrings are growing increasingly desperate. Just because the Chinese never promised you a hamburger doesn't excuse them from cooking you one. Or do you think there's no ground beef in a Chinese restaurant?

                                Thanks Wiggie

Your ramblings helped kill some time until my flight was boarding. Time to jump my plane where I will also shockingly excuse the airline if they do not happen to have a hamburger
