We spent tons of dollars on architects so far to come up with this unique design. Any resemblance you might see is just pure coincidence.

And speaking of dollars... Keep those donations coming. This is the type of project that can bring this entire community together as we do great things.

And don't forget... for the larger donations, we can provid those little "added extras"

No matter what your interests are, we can accomidate your needs.

But remember, beyond simple dollars, we do need a promise written in blood that you can provide them with a green card, otherwise, the deal is off.

    SO KEEP THOSE DOLLARS COMING.

Come on, it's a great cause and will add meaning to your life.
    Keep on Civin'

OFFICIAL POLY HOUSE 2010 PROJECT PHOTO UPDATE

As in past efforts, we thought it would be a good idea to provide photos as the project moves along.

We already have "professional help" to get the JOB DONE RIGHT.
Here is a picture of our construction head who has volunteered to help us with this great project.

A special thanks to Asher and his committee for making an excellent choice.

RIP rah, Tony Bogey & Baron O

I am surprised that you amateurs have overlooked the tax break ramifications of giving to a charity. I have therefore set up, in my own valuable free time, all the necessary charity status requirements via this website: Poly House 2010 Charity Fund. If you want to save tax on your donation, please click on this link instead donating directly to Ming as the website I am using is set up to automatically forward the funds to him once a 10% administration fee has been deducted.

I am amazed at the outpouring of goodwill and the way that the Poly community has come together in order to help a poor colleague whose life has been blighted by unfortunate geography...

MOBIUS... What an excellent idea. With people being able to take a tax deduction, they are in a position to give even MORE MONEY. Think of all the additional good we can do with larger donations.

However, I sent one of the donations through the link you provided to make sure it was working properly.
It did an excellent job confirming all the information to make it tax deductable, and also sent me a receipt that I could give to the governement for tax purposes.

However, it seems there is one slight little bug in your program. Instead of only skimming taking out 10%, it took out 100%. It must have been just a simple programming error with a misplaced decimal point. So using a program developed by a friend of mine, I was able infest your computer with a "small" worm, and now the program is working perfectly. It provides you with the reasonable 10% administrative fee in exchange for all the wonderful tax documents.

However, you might not want to try to access the program to make any more changes, since I've set it up to start destroying all the information on your computer and to destroy the website if it is accessed without the proper codes. Consider it simply quality "control"

Welcome onboard the TEAM MOBIUS... your help is much appreciated. Thanks for helping this great cause. With your help in allowing people to give more, there is more than enough to go around...

And to Thoth and Albert Speer... please refrain from calling our new staff members "hires". Remember, these are all volunteers, and are not receiving money for their efforts on this project. Granted, we do cover out-of-pocket expenses and will also provide a bonus for certain services that they can render that are deemed outside the house project, but they have graciously volunteered their time and effort to this great cause. We appreciate your help in getting them to join the cause.

In addition to those shown above, Asher and his committee continue to find even more volunteers for the cause.

Thanks to all that have and will contribute. I'm starting to really feel the strength of the Apolyton Community.

This thread brings tears to my eyes. Never in a million years would I imagine such co-operation in the interest in the public good.

You are all my best friends.

This thread has been brought to my attention.

Well, I'm saddened. This kind of behaviour might have been acceptable at the old Apolyton but as you know, these days the only posts that are officially sanctioned in Poly OT are childish attacks on upstanding community members and comments about panda sex.

If you really want to perform some kind of charitable works, or you know be nice or supportive to one another or whatever I suggest you find somewhere else to post.

You're lucky that us ex-mods don't have any powers anymore (except for all the power of good that MING is attempting with this thread) otherwise I'd have banned your ass for correcting a mod's spelling.
