  • US residency for foreign spouses

So, I'm evaluating the consequences of a long distance relationship with a gal from Singapore and was wondering a little about what residency hassles I might expect if were to end up tying the knot. Anybody have experiences?

And before anybody asks, I don't know her well enough to know that I will never love her and her father isn't wealthy (monetarily at least).
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I'm glad you pre-empted that last bit because you just know it would have come up.

BTW I don't know the costs but a Google search turned this up: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigra...ypes_2991.html

Isn't there some info on that in the back of the catalogue?

It's a quid pro quo. The troll value on this thread is priceless, after all.

To be fair to him, he probably couldn't tell she was 13, what with the Burka and all. But anything goes in Afghanistan.
