They think like I said before, that you have a torn rotator cuff which usually requires surgery to repair. That's why they have you in a sling so they can keep it imoblized until then. But they need to do the MRI to determine if you do indeed have one. Do not let them blow you off on that. You need that MRI. Torn cuffs are easy to repair and the surgery is very simple.

Ok, I will hold them to the MRI scan if necessary, but I don't think it'll be a problem, I just found it a little strange that the notice made no mention of it.

It's also good to know that you, as a nurse, don't perceive surgery of a torn rotator cuff, if it comes to that, as anything too dramatic. That has put my mind at rest somewhat. Not that I'm really worried, it's just all very new to me. I know I'll be in good hands even if they are a bit slow to get things rolling..

        Get well soon!

And I'm eager to hear whether the experience turned you into a socialist,
after all, the whole mess would cost you tens of thousands of dollars in the
        capitalist-hell USA

          Thanks.

Me, a Socialist? No, no. You see, the injury was to my shoulder, not my head.

In the U.S., instead of paying half of my salary in taxes, I'd have insurance against something like this.

          As well as insurance shares.

And my shoulder would quite possibly have been healed by now.

Nope, it's no biggie. If you have a good orthopod...sorry Orthopedic docotor this is an operation they could do in their sleep with one hand tied behind their back. Well....maybe not the hand thing but for an orthopedic surgeon torn rotator cuff is his bread and butter. They do this operation quite alot! So no need for concern but you will get some down time/time off if you have to have it.
