    I like the movie and the original TV show, at least until the last few season. Atlantis was a different type of program, and I liked it as well. Universe is also very different, and so far, not very good. They don't seem to have a clue on where to take it, and none of the characters are very likeable. Again, sometimes I just wish the ship would explode and everybody would die

        i agree the characters kind of suck in universe. so far the only good one is the angry black guy. and carlyle got potential, he is after all the best actor to be in any stargate so far.

              Dude, "realistic" and "cheesie" aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, and they're also not the only qualities a production can have.

              Lets say you take "Batman", "Batman Begins", and the 1967 Batman TV show. Stargate the Movie was Batman. Stargate SG-1 was the TV show. Neither of them are Batman Begins, but the movie was nowhere near the TV show.
