Had the left eye done this morning. Tomorrow morning is the Big Reveal.

In the meantime, I'm sporting my Borg look again.

            A bionic rabbit?

and for a sum less than $5,000,000. Steve Austin would be proud.

Does this mean you will be doing super hero things in slow motion?

                ...a complete success.

I measured slightly better than 20/20 in both eyes this morning (got a couple wrong on the 20/15 line).

I have to admit, I'm kinda giddy with excitement. It's not just better acuity, but color perception as well. Everything is a little brighter and more vivid -- pretty dramatic. Plus, I can now see everything down to teeny-tiny mouse type, even with low contrast, with no problem. And at distance, I can actually read street signs (and license plates etc) from MUCH further away than before. Edges are much sharper, too.

                This is f*cking awesome!!

How about seeing the individual leaves on trees. I remember that from when I first got specs. And blades of grass.

I have 20/15 vision uncorrected and this was confirmed just a couple of months ago when I started my new job. Still, I am starting to have trouble reading things far away that I used to be able to read. I also have to wear shades during daylight hours, even during times when it is seemingly dark (twilight hours), or else I get migraines.

Dunno; I may become endlessly fascinated with the graphics... Actually, I'm hoping I will be able to see the type better against low-contrast backdrops, like the yellow civs against plains and desert.

I'm more concerned with my golf game; hoping to get out this week if I can catch up with work. I'm told may actually be able to see where my drives land now...

Yep, huge difference. Colors are more vivid now, too.

I just regret I didn't talk Mrs. Rabbit into getting a new HDTV before we realized that our current one actually works just fine. I was having trouble reading sports scores before; now I can read the small print on prescription med commercials.
