The more we call it out, the more people realize it, and the less support the Tea Party gets, the better.

Putting healthcare reform on the back burner to focus on jobs and the economy would be far more effective at marginalizing the Tea Party movement.

        This I agree with.

Actually the war/foreign policy issue would be best to divide the TP. You'd split the warmongers form the non interventionists. Any domestic policy, and they'd easily rally around spending issues.

The Teabaggers aren't any real threat until they can come up with some ideas and gets some decent leadership. Since that will never happen, it will fizzle out over the next few years.

They had a big affect in Mass, are poised to elect Rand Paul in KY, and are making a stir in several other congresscritter districts. The TP is gonna be around for 2010 and beyond.

                Not likely.

Considering who Brown was running against, it wasn't a big effect. Plus, I Brown isn't really as much of a Teabagger as people would think.

Based on their 'ideas', they got a couple good ones. Limited gov't and low taxes, American fundamentals.

As far as leadership, they'll do well to remain decentralized and spontaneous. Help keep them from getting gobbled up by Repubs. What the GOP doesn't seem to realize is that the TP emerged because of Republican failure, not Democratic failure.

Those aren't ideas. They're just positions. That this is what is considered an idea by them leads to my next point.

The movement is based on anger and ignorance. Without a leader to channel and focus it, it will just fizzle out. Right now it's just being exploited by the GOP, of which Brown truly is.

Anger, yes. Supporters of Dems and Repubs have a monopoly on ignorance at the moment, however.

Not really. A ****ty candidate ran for the Dems, causing many Dems (like my sister, father, and grandmother) to stay home.

The teabaggers can't spell constitution let alone understand.

To back up EF, the voter turn out numbers were very low even by the historically low off year standards.

Libs are gonna want to find another tactic, this vitriol and name-calling they've adopted in the wake of Shrub's presidency won't win the battle of ideas.

This is why no one takes you seriously. The vitriol and name calling is the entire modus operandi of the teabaggers. You so much as admitted so yourself. And again, what ideas? They gather around small government and no taxes but have no clue how to do it.
