Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

What are you going to do with sweat?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Things might have gone much better for Abel, if it had been he, Cain and Hera offering gifts.
Cain is a little tense, because he can see that God really appreciates Abel's gift; but then up steps Hera. "Dear God, creator of all things, I bring this gift to You. A bucket of sweat."
Cain immediately feels better and Abel lives.

Why should I sweat at all? I can just boss people around.
