    Will Snow = Cooler Summer?

    New snow has a high albedo (~reflectivity), and as more of the northern hemisphere is covered by it each minute/hour etc, the north - and the world - absorbs less sunshine. So shouldn't this translate into a cooler summer? We wont have long to find out, taking bets now

    What is the Al Gore POV on it ?

          Glaciers and ice sheets are disappearing and that is a proven fact - they wil dissapear in 2035 - don't belive the deniers that claim it won't happen before 2350 - they are lying

            El Nino is supposed to give Texas cooler and wetter than average weather through June.
            I imagine it's the same across the country.

                  No offense, but I'm pretty sure that it's us scandinavians that has to have a fimbul winter before it goes crazy

                          I knew about it too. Basic Norse mythology, really.

                          The OP speculation sounds unlikely, though of course I'm not a climatologist, yadda yadda yadda. We're talking a couple of weeks of snow on the ground in certain areas. Balance that against families like mine who run their wood stove more to keep from freezing to death, and what do you get? Beats me. Leave it to the experts.
