      Hey, dude: you're one of the people from the Northeast I've never met. If I organize a NYCish meet will you come (in a few months, well after your kid is verified as totally safe, etc)?

                    Hmm. I'd like to, but NYC isn't exactly close (2.5 hours). I'll be taking FMLA leave from May - August, to take care of Amelia, so theoretically one weekend during that period I could get away. No promises, but I'd like to meet up.

                    Oh yeah, by the way...

                    Amelia Anne was born at 10:59am Friday, 1/8/10. She was 4lbs, 5oz and 17 inches long. She's doing well for a 34-weeker. Her breathing is fine. Eating is tough though, so they've gone the feeding tube route for now. The NICU people are phenomenal. My wife is doing great and comes home on Tuesday.
