I don't know, really. Opened up my browser and the URL was written almost automatically -- it's like I never typed it, but some supernatural force directed my fingers.

What are you doing in here, so near to the change of a decade?

How many days do you get for new year's eve there?
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

VJ, you should consider catching up on modern tech. FF remembers all of your last sites and automagically connects to those when starting the browser - think that even the newest exploder can do the same, but then, you are finnish
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Please, let's not have that discussion again. Once a millenium is enough.

There was no year 0. The first decade A.D. ran from 1 January A.D. 1 till 31 December A.D. 10, after which the decade turned. Add 2000 years (200 decades) to each of those dates and you will see that we're still in the 201st decade A.D. for another year. The 202nd decade won't begin until 1 January 2011.

Hmm, since A.D was made up considerably later then 10 years after, I don't think it matters that there was no year 0, so I have no problems calling this week the end of the decade. Deal with it.

Not just that, but the calendar has changed from 0 A.D. The Gregorian Calendar wasn't adopted until 1582.

I've used FFox since version 1.5, thanks for asking. It's faster to type "www.apolyton.net/forums" than to click on the memorized address.

That's a bit misleading way of putting it, it was adopted between the 16th and 20th centuries in European countries, with most adopting it between 16th and 18th centuries.

No no, it makes perfect sense. Just consider: "Ronald Reagan, most popular U.S. President of the 1970s".
