Were, you moron, were. Your sentence is retarded.
You just wasted six ... no, seven ... seconds of your life reading this sentence.

That idea is bizarre. Civil wars are fought between two or more groups within the same nation state. Besides that, there's little sense in regarding Russia as an Asian country.

Dude, if this obscure theory is modern EU thinking, it's certainly new to me. Who is actually supporting this viewpoint?

Hmm, better clarify that one before a nitpicker comes along: I do know my geography. I'm just pointing out the obvious fact that the majority of Russian/Soviet citizens could hardly qualify as Asians rather than Europeans.

Yeah, I've encountered this revision before, in an "in-depth" news article about what it would be like without the European Union. The point of the story went, WW2 was an European civil war and the formation of the European Union stopped all the civil wars in Europe.

It had a silly premise, presuming that there is some sort of inherit need for constant, non-ending warfare within Europe when different nations exist.

Hmmm. Nope, can't think of anything to contribute, I think my Tubes attempt ends here. Mythbusters is on.
