I actually quite enjoyed this movie. Clearly the plot was a bit weak/obvious with the clear references to the American destruction of the Native Americans (Wes Studi as the leader of the Na'vi!?), but the effects were amazing - 'out of this world' even...
Well worth £2.

How did you get away with only paying £2? Cost like $15 here. The dollar hasn't been devalued that much.
I saw it, and it was a decent movie. Predictable plot, as others have said. Not terribly 3-dimensional characters, as others have said. Effects were good, as others have said. But nothing revolutionary.
Fun popcorn munching movie. Definitely would have enjoyed it more if it cost £2.Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

About 5 minutes away from me is a cinema that does cheap Tuesdays, which normally cost £3.50. If you've been within the last 2 weeks, you can also use a money off voucher for £1.50 - hence £2.
The maximum possible price at that cinema is only £6.30 - you're clearly getting seriously ripped off.
We have an IMAX cinema at £8.30, but you're still out of pocket. I thought everything in your country was supposed to be cheap? Isn't that how you guys get by with inferior wages in the US?

If they can make interstellar travels, are close quarter air and ground combats still necessary?
A single Titan missile from the 20th century could do the job.

I lovwd the movie. Lots of eye candy, sure it wasn't high drama, but neither are most action movies.

Saw it last night in 3D. It's an nice movie, mostly interesting to see how the technology is progressing.
I am still looking forward to the next step in movie making when there will be no motion capture but instead the acting will be done by programs (bots, scripts, actor AI or whatever they call it) That's when all limits to the creativity of the director will disappear.
Think of all the porn they can make with that technology...Quendelie axan!

i saw it yesterday, the cgi was very good (some of the 3d effects were immense), but the story was banal and predictable and the acting wooden."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.
