  • Biggest idiots.

Who is the biggest idiot. I'm going to have to go with the moron who says "it was cold yesterday so therefore there is no global warming/climate change. These imbeciles are every where and if you try to explain to them long term averages vs short term events it is like you are speaking Greek to them. See, weather is a short term random event with lots of variables while climate is a long term average. Yes, oh dunderhead of the right wing, you can have a long term warming trend even though you have short term spells of cold weather. This really isn't that complicated.

            That complaint works both ways.

I would like the climate change fearmongers to explain to me why I should be afraid. I live 3,500 feet above sea level in a place where the hottest summer days barely crack 30C.

I thought Toronto was more like 800 feet above or have you moved?

If you meant Alberta, the biggest projected problem here from climate change are some predictions that it would get even drier.

                        That would be idiotic.

Its also idiotic to take weather over a single year and believe it proves something in relation to millions of years of climate patterns

Even 5 or 10 year or 20 year periods need to be examined in light of the previous 10,000 years with a view to glean meaning.

                        -----------------------------------------------------

Oh and I absolutely think it is idiotic to be concerned with carbon dioxide so much that people tend to ignore a variety of other substances which are regularly pumped into our atmosphere

I'm currently in Calgary for a few weeks. And I don't mind dry air.

Humidity bothers me. You get used to the dryness, and when the air is more dry it doesn't feel as hot...
