Should the Federation ditch the Klingon Empire for the Romulans?

Klingons are evil killers in green ships and eat stuff still living - grrrr. Plus they have rituals for every **** which are either barbaric or boring.

Romulans have green ships too and a senate, so with at least a rudimentary political process (aside from killing guys to remove them from their posts) they seem much more like a natural ally to the federation compared to the militaristfascist Klingons.

Actually in the new Star Trek movie universe the Klingons may never ally with the Federation.

A) Spock may be silly and actually warn them about what is going to happen to Praxis (or whatever the exploding Moon is called).

B)The Entrprise C will never assist the Klingons against the Romulans since that incident will be butterflied away.
