  • Everything's so white!

Beautiful out. Looks like maybe a foot of snow down so far and it's still snowing like mad. Blizzard warning.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

Its all pretty for you city-folk who don't drive.

Even though I'm from Michigan and can handle it better than most people in the area can, I don't much care for driving in the snow.

Hello, I see that you are discussing Race Relations. The liberal homosexuals in the ACLU say that racial profiling is wrong, even though America's enemies are 99.9% brown. The price of rampant political correctness is going to be another 9/11.

Getting a big snow here in December is extremely rare. Normally, these huge snows come in March/April.

Any estimates on the total you can expect?

Yeah, it's nice. It got me off a split shift at work, as we have seven inches in our driveway. Also, anybody who goes out for pizza in a blizzard like this is a dip**** in the most severe degree. Don't think they'll even open the store today.

Meanwhile, I've got a woodstove and a lot of tea. Yay!

I shoveled my driveway, and my neighbor's too. Shoveling snow is the only outdoor chore I like. The work keeps you warm, instead of making you all nasty and sweaty.

Outside here is looking a lot like that. It's been snowing all day and just keeps falling.

No real snow storm here or back home, but I'm still stuck at the airport due to delays.

                              Blech.
