PPP put her at 36/51 last month and ABC had her at 43/52 just three days ago. Now Fox drops this.

I don't think that a secular trend of that magnitude can be derived from comparing polling by ABC and Fox.

I don't think that a secular trend of that magnitude can be derived from comparing polling by ABC and Fox.

The difference between PPP and Fox is the interesting one. The Fox result is probably skewed in Palin's favor by the sample (as the link points out), but not enough to explain a jump from 36% favorable to 47%.

Fox News polling isn't completely out to lunch, but a ~9% movement between their methodology and ABC's is not terribly surprising.
