There's stuff you can't do here, but you *can* buy Mao's Little Red Book and "Mein Kampf" without worrying about law, if that's important for someone here

For their ban on Nazi symbols, etc. I was just preempting your comment about how other Euro countries also have less respect for free speech.

Perhaps I should have just said:

        USA! USA! USA!

I hear also that Switzerland is now considering a ban on minarets.

Heck, in the USA you can even display the flag of a country that once tried to extinguish the Union. How's that for liberal?

Oh, obviusly I agree with you on that.

I wish we had freedom of speech like that if you had universal healthcare and a lower crime rate I'd probbably emigrate to the US.

So you plan on retiring early and spreading hate speech on the Internet without fear of assault?

The Union Jack isn't regarded as important anymore.

The US is fairly stratified in many ways. As long as you aren't poor or black or go in certain neighborhoods you are generally quite safe. So don't let the crime rate deter you. Once Obamacare passes you should come on over.

What are the chances of an illegal immigrant amnesty? Optimally, Heraclitus should sneak in right before that happens, and then immediately retire for health reasons.

This reminds me, how hard is it to immigrate to the US for a citizen of an average Western country?
