What are you using and can recommend (free editions)?
I used AVG 8.5 so far and was quite fine with it, and could live with a bit of a slowdown it caused. But recently I updated to version 9 and my first experiences were that it gets your hd busy all the time, slows down everything drastically, and even produced some crashes I hadn't before when running software in the foreground.
'Fcourse I could deactive several services, but what's the point of having them then. Any good ideas what to use instead?
