No, we have a black president now.

It just makes me laugh when an ignoramus like that blogger, or some weenie liberal on Apolyton, picks out a quote from Limbaugh that they're too lazy to fact check to the point where they discover the context of the quote. But I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader.

            I guess there's my answer.[/Q]
Yes, it is. You think a couple out-of-context snippets some wanker put in his blog can compare to Sharpton? Sharpton is threatening to sue because Limbaugh has mocked his criminal record and close connections to riots in NYC. Yeah, like that's going anywhere.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

How does calling him a ****** advance the discussion, DaShi?

Obviously people who make a living stirring up sh** are not going to welcome in one of America's most exclusive gentlemen's club. Rush really is a jerk, making up facts and quotes, making issues where none exist. Rush never had a chance. Neither did Soros, if that hasn't been corrected by now. Would you want to pay 200 - 400 million DOLLARS to sit in off-season meetings with such a person?

McNabb was/is a decent quarterback, making him a member of an even more exclusive club, and he has been paid accordingly. Quarterbacks and coaches get blamed when teams perform poorly. Shouldn't they get credit when the team does well?

He had no intention of having a discussion. He just came in to pick a fight and make unsupported claims to support his fetish for fat loudmouth drug addicts. He's a ****** for failing so miserably at it. I've continued the discussion separate from his nonsense.

One game doesn't make a season or career. 22/46 is pretty bad though.

No, but no Super Bowl titles (and throwing three picks in the one Super Bowl you do make it to) does make for a mediocre career. Even Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl.

                            • Marino is the exception that proves the rule, and even he can't escape the "never won a Super Bowl" stigma despite having held nearly every NFL passing record at one point.

                              • Do the NFL owners have the 'right' to blackball Limbaugh? Yes. One might wonder, though, how such behaviour will be viewed if/when a potential African-American buyer in the future is treated in the same manner.

Is Limbaugh a racist? Maybe, but I doubt it. I've only heard a few broadcasts, since it's not my 'cup of tea', but his rhetoric has not struck me as racist. He's condemnatory of stupid self-destructive behaviour by African-Americans, sure, but that's not racist.

As has been pointed out, the McNabb comment was made against media bias that favored McNabb. Something that was kinda obvious given the hype comparing McNabb with Manning or Brady. At the time, I never understood the hoopla over McNabb, I always liked McNair better but after living up there I know that Eagles fans luv McNabb. Anyone want to argue that McNabb is a 'hall of famer', comparable to Manning or Brady?

The 'bloods and crips' comment was questionable but after listening to what was said and why, I find I agree with the intent and sentiment if not the actual language.
