At the rate my "DLs" were posting I would have had to have half a dozen different browsers open at once, and be able to reliably reacquire the same IPs for each browser (something that AFAIK tor does not permit) to hide the fact that I was using anonymizing services for each DL. The simpler explanation is that they weren't DLs and that the people accusing me of having a DL army are all idiots.

Someone determined enough could easily use proxy servers to mask his identity. Coupled with the fact there is only one person here who is obsessed with gender bending females and other degenerate sexual fetishes, it leads to the obvious conclusion that this person is so ****ed in the head, he is willing to make a dozen DLs so he can talk to himself about said topics.

The only other explanation is that there are multiple clones of this individual in the world.

I was mainly pointing out why I am uninterested in the DL question, as a moderator. As a poster, I think that such speculation and accusations often provide an increase of levitivity.

Yes, all they have to do is check the IPs, and the reason the "DLs" haven't been banned is because they're not DLs.

Checking IPs we always did first because it was easiest and we caught the stupid people that way. The smarter people were easily able to beat that, and were surprised when we caught them using other tools. It's amazing how careless people got once they thought they had the IP side of it covered.

Most suspect is when all the crew is posting within minutes of each other (contrary to your later comment)

And while I generally agree with Jon that it's usually not worth the effort, sometime it was fun or done just out of spite.

We did catch quite a few following up on e-mail addresses. But again, just the idiots. They'd forget why they created the account and slip up. I'd laugh for days after someone fell for those tricks.
