I haven't heard she is. He probably got Oprah and Whoopi confused.
Probably, and I'm not going there.

As for the French Culture* Minister who strongly protested the Polanski arrest.
"France's Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand is facing intense pressure over a book he wrote that described paying for "young boys" in Thailand.
....
In his 2005 book The Bad Life, he wrote: "I got into the habit of paying for boys," saying his attraction to young male prostitutes was not dimmed despite knowing "the sordid details of this traffic". "

Fu***ng Whoopie up the arse isn't going to punish her - the person fu***ng her up the arse will be the one getting punished.
Sounds like a job for Polanski.

[Q=Oerdin;5686386]He gave her an iPod but I haven't heard it had his speeches on it. Frankly, I wonder if that is true.[/Q] My bad. She requested an ipod with stuff from her 2007 visit to the USA. Some on the right said she requested it lest she end up getting an ipod full of Obama's speeches. I suspect there is a grain of truth to that...

It is a tragedy what a queen has to do to get an ipod.
Which side are we on? We're on the side of the demons, Chief. We are evil men in the gardens of paradise, sent by the forces of death to spread devastation and destruction wherever we go. I'm surprised you didn't know that. --Saul Tigh
I actually find Whoopi Goldberg kind of attractive. Well, maybe not anymore, she's a geezer now, but when I happen to catch a TNG rerun I can't help but find her attractive.
Would you have an opposite opinion of him if Polanski killed himself Pekka?
(I'm just trying to reconcile your contrary positions in two separate threads)
No. But this is a good question! You would have me here if I was not such a slippery teflon thingie. In the first case, the level of guilt is not known, and also his position disposes him into a very difficult situation where the hint of suspicion ruins him for good. That, and he was attacked by a journalist. The despicable part specifically is the after the death writing.
In this case it is the opposite. The person has been found guilty, has said himself to be guilty, made a run from a country AND is being protected by many people in media. The first case I have to treat as not guilty or possibly a suspect, media attacking him and he offs himself. The second case, guilty, runs away from justice, media protecting him.
If Polanski killed himself, I wouldn't feel that the case is any different. It would be a bad thing, it is not a good thing. I don't believe in DP, nor do I think people should kill themselves. The facts would remain though. Both of these cases what upsets me is not suspects themselves. The world is full of criminals, why should anyone be so different? It's some parts of the media that did upset me, how they treated or treat these cases.
In da butt.

Oprah, and Chris Rock, are not supporting Polanski at all. I saw them speaking about it today.

I imagine many of the celebs that came out in support of Polanski in the early days are regretting their position now that they've seen the extent of the public disgust.
