Let me go find my sympathy for grown men who drug and rape little girls.

He deserves to be assaulted and raped until he dies from depression.

Respecting the rule of law is hardly equivalent to having sympathy for kiddy-diddlers, but don't let that interfere with your torture fantasies.

I won't. The law is ****ing worthless at some points, like addressing what to do with grown men who drug and rape little girls.

It was over thirty years ago.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

You say that as though that's a reason not to torture and murder the guy. Rolleyes^3

Frankly, attitudes like Space's are more of a threat to the community than Polanski's act 30 years.

Once they have named you as a defendant (or found you guilty of a crime) you can't flee the jurisdiction to run out the clock.

A statute of limitations or repose bars the filing of legal case, and has no bearing once after the case is filed. Once a case has be started in court, by filling a petition in a civil case, or filing an inditement or information in a criminal case, limitations or repose is irrelevant. The starting of the period of limitations is more complicated, particularly in some civil actions. It may start when the crime is committed (which may involved action spread over a period of time) or it may begin when the crime is discovered. The running of the time period may tolled (stopped) by various conditions, such as the minority of a party to a civil action, or absence of a defendant, criminal or civil, from the jurisdicton of the court.

In the Polanski case limitations is thus not even an issue as to the original charges, and his flight for jurisdiction tolls limitations for any charges regarding failure to appear, bail jumping, escape for custody, and these can be filed when he is back in jurisdiction. As his his constitutional right for a speedy trial in criminal case, he forfeited that by violating bail and fleeing jurisdiction, even assuming he had not voluntarily waived it earlier it during the plea negotiations, as is common.

                          Possessing illegal drugs.
Giving illegal drugs and alcohol to a 13-year-old-girl.
                          Raping the 13-year-old-girl.
                          Fleeing imprisonment.

Let's forget he's a rich, famous, white guy and treat him as if he were a poor, black nobody.

You mean, elect him President and have the Left generally treat him like he's the Messiah?

Seems a bit of a stretch, but I suppose it could be done.

Hopefully he dies in gaol. It would be better justice if this was a stoning offence and he could be stoned to death.

Once again, Winston. This time, listen up:

The only people who refer to Obama as a Messiah is the Right. Sure, it's blasphemous, but the Right has always been willing to use religion for it's own end. What you're doing here is using the old McCarthy tactic called "The Big Lie," i.e. repeat a lie over and over again, and people tend to believe it.

And you missed something else. Obama is not poor. His two best sellers have made him a multimillionaire.

BTW: If the Right has any solutions to propose to today's problems, I'd be more than willing to listen. But right now all I hear from them are lies, distortions, smears and slanders.
