Old but nice people. In this country you are required to be a Christian of any denomination.

I know zip, zero, nada about Freemasons. Vets, Elks, and even Moose, to a degree, but not Freemasons.

I used to be in a bagpipe marching band years ago and a handful of the bandmembers were also masons. Most of the stuff I knew them for was for charity work but there was this one occasion where this woman in our band was married to a rather high up mason. He was going to be Grand Poobah or something (I can't remember what it really was). Prior to the event we got to go on a mini tour of the temple. It's not often women are allowed in there at all. We didn't see all of the rooms of course but the ones we got to see was filled with antique swords and stuff.

As far as I know they were Christians as well. I don't think they're too outlandish, the ones I knew were pretty normal but I don't really know what they're like during their meetings, so I could be totally wrong.

The Catholic church does not allow its members to be freemasons. If a chatolic is a fremasoon he is in a state of mortal sin.
Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.

I had to check to be sure, and you are right, although I suspect it was by accident.

Yeah, and it appears that there are a number of testimonials of high up masons dropping out, saying that it's all built on blasphemy and nonsense and such. Though, some people would say that's a religion.

I once asked someone who was a Mason if it was cult, you'd thought I just killed his first born the way he reacted... that also got me suspicious.

I suspect they are a bit sensitive because of their history but every Mason I met had a sense of humor about it.
