  • Discovered in my Cheese

I discovered this slightly bright little peice of what looks like metal in my cheese. I have already eaten 1/4 of the cheese.

I am now nervous to eat any more. What do other people think? It is very small, could fit under my finger nail.

    What do I do?

Melt down the cheese, strain it, and eat it.

If its a solid cube of cheese the innards are probably still good.

The issue is that it is very tsaty smoked swiss, and I still want to eat it.

The message here is that Swiss cheese is rubbish, and only good for melting, at which point the metal shards are far more obvious.

Buy more interesting hard cheeses, and wean yourself off that rubbish Gruyere.

Should I take the cheese back and ask for a refund? Will they give me one? I am trying the melted approach right now.

How much is left? If more than half then yes.

Take it back for a refund... then you get extra cheese for free

You've melted the cheese so why the hell would they give your money back?
