The "package" is just the cheese rind which is a semisoft white mold growing over the cheese. It's the same color as the rind on Brie or Humboldt Fog. When you eat it make sure it is at room temperature as it has less water (and more fat) then American cream cheese or just microwave it for 20-30 seconds if you're taking it out of the fridge.Originally posted by rah View PostNow that I might remember. Ok, natural rind coating, shaped like a heart, name I can't pronounce. 95% chance of me finding it now. Whoot.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Speaking of chain stores I have seen it at Tesco's Fresh & Easy Market here on the west coast though I'm not sure if the chain has made it all the way across the country yet. Fresh & Easy basically a smaller version of the British Tesco's chain which has tried to go up market selling food items with a more luxury bent at discount prices.Originally posted by -Jrabbit View PostRah, you should be able to get Neufchâtel at the Jewel. Yeah, it's everyone else, Oerdin. Maybe you should move that date up with the therapist.

In the Franco-Prussian War Napoleon III ordered 1 million cans of corned beef from the British but there were not enough cows in all of the UK & Ireland to fill the order so a Scottish inventor came up with Bovril which used rendered beef extract (that is when you cook beef fat and juices drip off and from this au jus they made Bovril. The idea being that a high protein and high fat spread could be put over bread and butter in order to give soldiers strength and supplement a good meal of canned English corned beef. Not that it did Napoleon III's soldiers much good.Originally posted by rah View PostYeah, did the invent a spread that helps them surrender to the Krauts.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Ponies and flowers. I'm thinking it's more likely mushrooms and unicorns.

As much as I normally disagree with you I must agree that melted brie on toast (especially sourdough) is divine.Originally posted by Imran Siddiqui View PostNo "spread", unless Brie can be considered one.
