Your outrage wasn't great enough to hunt him down and hang him from a tree, but it was sufficient to fuel a self-satisfying bit of angry internet trolling. After the fact you can't be shown to have been affected by the likes of MrFun - because that would put a dent in your impervious internet persona - so you play it off as being manufactured.

Everyone who posts here does so for their own enjoyment, and that's part of their motivation. But everyone who posts here also has emotions, and those emotions motivate them, too. We can try our best to mask one motivator or another but none of us - outside of Wiglaf, anyway - are perfect.
