Risking any damage to your clit is not worth it. Think about it. There is a chance that something goes wrong and you are left with mutilated clit, no sensation down there or reduced sensation. No bf is worth that.
If you really want to do something down there do a tatoo. Or if it has to be a piercing do the belly button. I find the_very_small_jewel_on_the_side_of_the_nose piercing to be attractive too.

i just want one. no tattoos. the bf thinks genital piercings are really hot. i was very opposed to it at first but have been considering it lately and might get it pierced to surprise him.

When I was younger I liked tats and piercings done well (not that I have either). Nowdays it seems a waste of time. And -J's right: do this for yourself, not for your current boyfriend. Girls do too many things they don't want to in order to please their boyfriends.

I have encountered them in bed without knowing before hand and while there was a brief "this is cool its like being in a porn!" moment it passes quickly, and then it is just odd.
