Things you like that most other people don't like that you're not proud of
"Sampling" describes EVERY evidence-based statistical method. It's like saying that scientists aren't allowed to use experiments.
And if the GOP forbade scientists from doing experiments, the results would be . . . ?
The GOP Congress only allowed the Census Bureau to count those who responded to the questionnaire or an interviewer. No other methods were allowed to be used.

I'm relatively confident that I could use county-level data to construct a subset of the Detroit metro that would be both smaller than Montreal and would contain more Lebanese people, but that's too much work.
KH FOR OWNER! ASHER FOR CEO!! GUYNEMER FOR OT MOD!!!

Only fair if I'm allowed to go neighbourhood by neighbourhood with whatever data I can find to isolate Montreal's Lebanese people.
Che, what do you think it's called when you send out questionnaires and count the responses?
I'm just going by what both the Bureau and the GOP leadership said. If counting on your fingers is sampling, then the word has no meaning.

Maybe. But one would think that sampling involves samples, not the whole, i.e., I take a number of random people to make observations about the population as a whole, not try to physically count each and every single person in the USA. A sample size of "100%" isn't really a sample, is it?

Go for it. You haven't produced anything to support your case so far in this thread, so now might be a good time to start.
This is blatantly false. I knocked down your initial ridiculous claims and provided state-level data on Lebanese in Michigan, along with an implicit figure for Montreal (the 44k number)

That's simply because you have absolutely no training in probability or statistics.
I referenced it earlier, dude. I said that Montreal's Lebanese pop. was ~1/2 of Dearborn's total pop. And the place I pulled it out of was the exact page you later linked to
