  • How do you spend your day?

The American Time Use Survey asks thousands of American residents to recall every minute of a day. Here is how people over age 15 spent their time in 2008.

I'm shocked that about twice as many people are "relaxing and thinking" as using a computer in the middle of the day.

Where does masturbation to porn fit? The 15-24 numbers are off until this is standardized.

TV/movies? Computer use? Personal care? Education?

No, it's the thin sliver above tv and movies.

i saw the one about computer use, but it just seems to small to include games. its absolute peak is whit 15-24 at 9pm and at 3%, looks very small.

A breakout for eah stripe is available. Shows men and women spend 8 - 9 minutes on computers with unemployed spending the most time. Must be nonproductive time because computer use at work or in job search are accounted for in other categories. The NYT apparently considers time spent on your own on the computer as unworthy of any positive returns.

                  I apologize, apparently I can't read

Maybe all the gaming got split up between tv/movies, socializing (WoW players), and other leisure.

work mostly. or getting ready for work, or driving to work. Or recharging after work so I can go to the gym. Then gym, then eating. Then maybe poly for an hour then off to bed. Very exciting life, I know. U all wish u could be me, but alas, you cannot.

As for my weekends, they vary. I don't go to the gym on my weekends. They mostly involve computer games, movies, posting here. but I go out every other week or so. I always feel guilty about spending money though.

Anyways wake up at 11 PM, drive to work at 12:10 AM, work from 1AM to 9AM, recharge from 10:00 AM to around 10:45. Gym from 11:00 to 12:30 or 12:45. eat till 1:00PM. Poly/catch up on news till 2pm or 3pm. sleep. very boring, but that's what I've been doing the past 3 weeks or so.

no tv for me. As for masturbation, I try to fit it in between the above items. I'm not going to spend hours masturbating, I have better things to do.

If I'm awake and at home (where I work), I'm online. Except during dinner.

Working! Blah but the good news is that 9 hours of it is at a desk in which I can sporadically play on the internet as an escape from this cubicle nonsense.

Got up, had breakfast, saw Lancer & the other folks off who were going to spend the day at Lancer's beach house.

Sent an e-mail to a friend of mine in the U.s. who's having a birthday.

                              Took a nap.

                              Watched Charlie Chaplin's City Lights.

Worked on designs for the garden roof of my house.

Sho picked me up at lunch at took me to the beach. Talked with Lancer for awhile about future building tasks.

Worked on designs for the flying roof of my house.

Met with Lancer & Sho about bringing pipes into my house to carry any unexpected future wiring.

                              Hung out at the beach.

Rode back to Jagna with Lancer, Vic & Irish. Made posts. Had spaghetti for dinner.
