Garden State was a terrible movie.
She was one of the bright spots, IMHO. And terrible is overly harsh, but then so are you

Thank you. I should have turned it off the moment she uttered that inane line about a song changing somebody's life. I persevered, though, and have regretted it ever since.

My ex-roomie made me watch it. I almost punched him in the face when it was over.

I never realized that was her in the professional. DOH.

I actually quite liked it, but i only watched it when it came out, so it is liable to change.

"Boston Legal" started as an amusing waste of 40 minutes, and progressed to be a heavy, self-righteous waste of time.

A friend of mine who is usually pretty good at such things recommended it to me. Based on his past track record, I kept thinking it had to turn around at some point. Then it ended, and I felt like I had just sat through an entire gay porn movie in hopes of the girls finally showing up.

Cold Mountain and Closer are two good films though (and Natalie Portman is definitely good in the latter).

The Professional may be the only film I really like with her in it.

I haven't seen many of her films.

                            Cold Mountain

Though the book is far better.

                              What, you haven't seen Heat?

Go rent that movie tonight, Jon. It kicks about 136 different kinds of ass. (Though, to be fair to the thread topic, Portman isn't that good in it.)
