Except that what the Buddha taught has very little to do with modern Buddhism. He taught a collection of meditation techniques. The rubbish that has been added on since shouldn't be blamed on him.

i don't know who you are trying to convince or prove or what point you are trying to cause me to change the way i look at things.

But if you can get by in life in other ways than total mental peace and relaxation in any situation by eating cheerios and watching Howdy Doody on TV Land then you are the man

In capitalism, increasing efficiency, i.e., increasing productivity doesn't lead to less work. It leads to more people being out of work, at least until the market figures out a use for them, if it does.

Seems like modern capitalism is actually pretty good at figuring out what to do with people, even as their productivity increases.

I think we can have some extra inefficiency in garbage collection by sharing the necessary maintenance work rof society, with certain specialists remaining, like the engineers and scientists who maintain the dumps and water treatment plants, etc., without really harming society

Why the hell should we do this? Some people would really, really hate to deal with garbage. To others it's probably a milder annoyance. Guess who becomes a garbageman in a market economy. Why do you feel justified in increasing aggregate human misery simply to satisfy your notion of equality?
