    Mich. man jailed for assault during Monopoly game

    I bet he didn't get any either.

    FRASER, Mich. (AP) -- A game of Monopoly has landed a Michigan man in jail. WDIV-TV reported a 54-year-old man was playing the board game Saturday night with a female friend when he tried to buy Park Place and Boardwalk from her.

    When she refused, Fraser police Lt. Dan Kolke told WWJ-AM he hit her in the head, breaking her glasses.

    The man was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and battery.

          Er, what colours are Park Place and Boardwalk?

          I'm guessing dark blue, which would equate to Park Lane and Mayfair in the UK. I've got a version of Gameboy Monopoly somewhere that I bought when I was bored in France one year, and it has the UK, French and German versions built in, which is an interesting way of learning other nations' culture.

                        anger and fear are the same emotion. while the man was silly here it is still a great example of typical misguided human behavior.

                        the main focal point of mentality he used in his life be it a religion, ideology, or whatever has failed, since it was not present in his brain to help him here. unless he was just a jerk anyway.

                            When I was a kid, we used to have a rule in Monopoly that cheating was okay, as long as you weren't caught (like sneaking a free deed or money from the bank, moving your shoe, etc.). If you got caught cheating, you had to divide all the money you had between the other players and lose a turn. If you didn't have any money you were out of the game. Can't remember if anyone ever got punched tho
