Health Care Reform for America Thread

I've long ago resigned myself to the fact that we're never going to have any sort of real, beneficial health care reform. It's very freeing and liberating to give up on your dreams like that. I hardly ever feel the urge to kill random passers-by anymore.

It's just like all the other utopias. Yes, it would be wonderful if the Government had a magical power to make everything perfect. No, it isn't going to happen that way because the people currently in power are idiots.

By definition, anyone who thinks the Government can properly manage a universal healthcare system is an idiot. Even the Swedes have given up on that. That isn't the problem. The idiots currently in power want to manipulate the situation for their own political/financial benefit, knowing that the "solution" won't work, which is far worse.

The same way the "stimulus" didn't stimulate, and they knew that as they did it, Obamacare does not address the problems that people complain about, and they know it.

If the govermint can't be trusted to run health care, then why do you trust them to run the military, build roads, and provide police, fire, and EMT services? Or deliver your mail?

I hope, being the patriotic, govermint hating American you are, you have torn down your mailbox in proper protest of govermint inefficiency
