The reason given is that they couldn't trademark "SciFi." But AFAIK, no one asked them to cease and desist from using it; they just wanted something they could trademark. Yet they still had a perfectly legal, copyrighted logo design.

Warehouse 13 premiered this evening. Was ok, started off slow, ended too abruptly. Joanne Kelly is hot.
The name change was a long time coming, they mentioned it a while back in commercials. A lot of stations seem to be jumping on the let's make everything stupider wagon; Court TV became Tru Tv, The History Channel calls itself History, National Geographic calls itself Nat Geo.
