The song actually relates to the co-opted author's review of the large armsmakers in WW I. Like several other songs on the Freewheelin' album, Dylan modified someone else's song and called it his own. The song is a nasty condemnation of the makers of "big guns" rather than the nukemeisters. i was looking for a dylan song on youtube but i cant remeber the name. i seen a live version where dylan got his face painted white whit a cowboy hat, a close up camare and mouthblowing thingy infront of him(dont remeber the english word). Its not one of his usual songs. if iam makeing any sense here could someone help?
