DF, I put you on ignore for a reason. I don't even care if you can answer my questions in this thread, I'm not looking at your posts and haven't since I put you on the list. Why is this so difficult for you do understand? That question is for you to answer for yourself. I don't care what you have to say, ever. So you have two choices: 1. you can be mature and get over it, or 2. you can continue to make an ass of yourself posting nonsense directed at someone who is obviously not even seeing it.

Sadly, it's fairly obvious which option you will choose.

what I post is not for you to see.
You flatter youself by thinking I care what you think.
Besides you won't even see this, so why get your self worked up?

Again, if this thread's topic becomes ignore lists and who's on whose, it will be closed.

Lori, as a mod, why don't you do something about the problem. I've clearly tried to put this thing to bed. If you're going to let the little troll ruin every thread he posts in, then we can't be held responsible. How about enforcing some rules? Seriously, he's been told several times he's being ignored, yet still continues to respond. If that's not mindless spam, I don't know what is. This is my thread and I would like to keep the discussion on topic, so please do your job.

A little spam is okay. Harping on which posters annoy you is not okay. You could "put this thing to bed" by actually ignoring his posts, rather than talking about the fact that he's on your ignore list.

If he begins to attack you, or if he purposefully attempts to derail your threads, then I'll do something about him.

If you have to threaten to close a thread over him, then he's derailed it.

I'll bet that I can find several posts where he has attacked me. Some in this very thread, I'm sure. And it's not a little spam. He deliberated posted in this thread (the second post for christsake) just to spam and annoy. He does it to KH too. Both people who have him on ignore. That's not a little spam. As I said in the other thread, it's the behavior of a bot to post nonsense after a targetted poster's posts. Be a mod. He's a coward, all you have to do is put the fear of Lori into him.

Try it my way first. Just ignore him. if he continues to harass you, I'll deal with it. Until then, get back on topic.

Now you can all see what kind of person this is.
He can dish it out but cannot take it.
He started this along time ago by attacking me.

                    BTW
I did not post this for his benefit.

How does he know I am attacking him if he cannot see what I post?

Chongqing... There is not much there. Bar street consists of perhaps 3 bars. But You can visit the Flying Tiger's Museum for the airmen... and there is a good pizza place on the square. Try to go to the mountain before 11 PM and get some good night pictures of the city's lights.

I found the food in Chongqing disappointing to say the least. I like hot pot, but it is not filling... And I strongly dislike spiciness.

Maybe you can take a day trip to the Panda Reserves near Chengdu. (Wolong?) I loved that place. You can even pay 50 USD to touch a panda; 25 to touch a red panda; or 100 to hold a baby panda. I did none of these things, but watched others do it... It was interesting... albeit a bit exploitative toward the animals.

You could also go to Zigong
Zigong Dinosaur Museum, the biggest museum of this kind in southeast China, presents a large-scale preserved dinosaur fossil, and enjoys same reputation as American National. It also exhibits dinosaur site, plants and animals in the age of dinosaur, and sine rare species.

                            -Dinosaur Museum = Surprisingly Good
                            -Night Life = Frightening...
-McDonalds - Thankfully filling... nothing else in that city is.

I can't remember the name, but about 3 hours from Zigong there is are some amazing Buddhist caverns.

Take the buses. Do you speak much Chinese? 你会不会说中文吗? It's fairly easy to get around on the coastal areas in the busses... I'd be extra careful going around Chengdu/Chonggqing however... the area is a bit sketchier.

                              >>I can travel, but that would be expensive (though I'm weighing it against the cost of changing the ticket)

Expensive? how penny pinching are you planning?

Tour buses in china can get you anywhere for less than 30 USD- easy.

Don't take taxis either, take the city buses. you have the time.

                              and hotels are ###@ cheap.

I'm on a limited budget. I've already had to pour $1000 of my own money into this project. Plus, I've seen most of the touristy stuff, so I won't be going on any tours. I'll be going to Shanghai and Hangzhou in August. In Shanghai, I may be able to stay with a friend. In Hangzhou, I will see, but there is a hostel that's rather cheap. The issue is whether I will be there for a few days or more than two weeks.

Haven't gotten to see much of Chongqing. I've gone out with my research team and their friends a few times, but they go to the simple places, like the zoo. I don't think they've ever been to a bar. I'll try to check out the Dino museum though and the mountains. Tell me more about the Vamp Bar.
