I think it's possible to enjoy any type of music. I often learn to like oldies (played on the sound system at work) and pop music (played at the gym). I could bring my mp3 player to the gym, but worry about hearing loss, and don't feel like messing with it. It's distracting.
Some of the stuff isn't so bad. Though there is this one brunette girl who sings the most annoying song. Hot and cold. One of the corniest lines "You change your mind like a girl changes clothes" Sounds silly to me.
